September Member' Meeting- Tuesday, Sept 26 7:00 pm
Howland Cultural Center, 477 Main St., Beacon, NY

Dutchess County historian Will Tatum, Jr. will be the guest speaker at the Beacon Historical Society’s September meeting. As part of his “Decoding the Past” series, Will has selected four discrete artifacts from Beacon Historical’s collections for closer examination using the “detective” process to uncover the stories behind these objects. From a wooden grave marker, to a home electronic shock therapy kit, to mysterious Native American artifacts, these objects provide a behind-the-scenes view into how historians assemble the clues to discover “hidden history.” Our meetings still are being held at the Howland Cultural Center, 477 Main Street, in Beacon, courtesy of the Howland’s board. This month’s meeting is Tuesday, September 26, at 7 pm.
