Join us for a digital pictorial tour of places in and around Beacon that no longer stand through the lens of 19th-20th century photographs. Beacon has changed consistently over the years from a colonial outpost, to a factory town, to the suburban oasis it is today. See images of colonial houses, factory buildings, and hotels that were razed to build modern Beacon. Our guest speaker is David Turner, a collector of vintage photographic images and the author of Wappinger - A Photo History, published by Arcadia Books. This is a free program. You do not have to register to attend.
