Join us August 27 for our second annual Ferry Ride and dinner in Newburgh, this time for a fun night of non-competitive, eclectic Beacon trivia. We will gather at the Beacon ferry slip across from the train station at 5:30 p.m., board the ferry, cross the mighty Hudson and then walk about two blocks to Billy Joe’s Restaurant. Once there, you will sit with your friends, order from the menu and receive individual checks for you/your party before we board the last ferry back to Beacon.
If you went last year, you know it is a fun way to rekindle memories of our ferry. But you need to reserve your spot – why? Because we need to let the restaurant know how many of us will be attending. Plus: everyone who registers receives a free ferry ride! So, NOW, while you are thinking about it, put the date/time on your calendar and email BeaconHistorical@gmail.com with your names and the number in your party. (P.S. Yes, we will go rain or shine, just like the good old days when the ferry was the only way to cross the river!) Don’t miss the boat on this one – it promises be a fun time!
