Celebrating 100 Years of Jewish Culture in Beacon

Walk through our galleries as we tell the story of Jewish immigration, culture, enterprise, and history in Beacon from the mid 19th century to present. The Beacon Historical Society collaborated with the Beacon Hebrew Alliance to celebrate the centennial of the founding of their synagogue on Fishkill Avenue.

Enjoy a reenactment of Sam Beskin’s rag to riches story by actor Dan Anderson. Beskin was a founding member of the synagogue and Beacon’s second Mayor.
